About the Role

Looking for experienced Avionics Technicians or Instrumentation Tech or Tool Calibration Tech. Have experience in installing modern General Aviation Systems. Individuals should have basic troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins. Troubleshoot and repair avionics equipment, gauges, and gyros. Lay out installation of aircraft assemblies and systems following documentation such as wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders and other documents. Assemble components such as switches, electrical controls and junction boxes. Use of hand tools, crimping tools, heat gun and soldering irons required. Technician should be able to work within specific allotted time and produce quality workmanship to customers standards and FAA requirements.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Willing to work 40hr per week, Monday -Friday 8am-5pm with occasional overtime a possibility.

  • Ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write English clearly and accurately

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test

  • familiar in the use of avionics tooling: multimeter, ramptest equipment, and crimping tools

  • Capable of following electronic schematics

  • Soldering skills

  • Wire harness assembly

  • Basic troubleshooting and repair of installed avionics systems

  • Altitude reporting systems

  • Pitot/Static and transponder system testing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous intallation experience on various makes and models of MFD, GPS, Nav/Com, and Transponders

  • Troubleshoot and repair avionics equipment, guages, and gyros

  • Experience in instrument and tool calibration

  • Familiar with G600 installs, GFC600, GTN750, GI275, G5 and GTX345 installs Garmin, Honeywell, and PS Engineering

  • Avionics Associates Degree

  • A&P License
